What Should You Expect During Your DOT Physicals Appointment?
During your DOT physicals appointment, you will undergo a comprehensive medical evaluation to assess your overall health and determine if you meet the medical standards required to operate a commercial vehicle. The exam begins with a review of your medical history, including any pre-existing conditions, medications, surgeries, or recent health concerns. After that, a physical examination will be conducted, which includes measuring your vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory function. Your vision and hearing will also be tested to ensure they meet the required standards for driving safely.
In addition to these basic assessments, the doctor will check for specific conditions that might affect your ability to drive.
