Breast Implant Procedure

The breast implant procedure, also known as breast augmentation, is a surgical technique that enhances the size and shape of the breasts. It can be performed for various reasons, from achieving a desired aesthetic to reconstructing breasts after mastectomy.

The process typically begins with a comprehensive consultation with a plastic surgeon. During this crucial step, you'll discuss your goals, medical history, and any questions or concerns you may have. The surgeon will also perform a physical examination to assess your breasts and determine the most suitable implant type, size, and placement for your desired outcome.

The surgery itself is typically performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes an incision in a discreet area, such as the crease beneath the breast, the armpit, or around the areola. The implant, filled with either silicone gel or sterile saline solution, is then inserted behind the chest wall muscle or breast tissue, depending on the chosen technique and desired results. Once the implant is positioned, the surgeon meticulously closes the incisions with sutures.
