What Are the Signs of Benzodiazepine Dependence?
Benzodiazepines (benzos) are medications prescribed for anxiety, insomnia, and seizures. However, regular use can lead to dependence, where your body adapts to their presence and withdrawal symptoms occur if you stop taking them abruptly. Here are some physical and psychological signs that might indicate benzodiazepine dependence:
Physical Symptoms: These can include muscle aches, tremors, headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and insomnia. In severe cases, abrupt cessation can lead to seizures.
