What Are Cherry Angiomas?
Cherry Angiomas are small, bright red or purple bumps on the skin caused by clusters of tiny blood vessels. They are usually harmless, painless, and most commonly appear on the trunk, arms, or legs, often increasing in number with age. These growths are generally smooth or slightly raised and vary in size from a few millimeters to a centimeter. While typically benign, changes such as rapid growth, darkening, or bleeding should be checked by a healthcare professional. Cherry angiomas are more common in adults over 30, and although they do not indicate serious health problems, some people choose to remove them for cosmetic reasons or if they become irritated by clothing or jewelry.
