What Are the Symptoms of a Bladder Infection?

A bladder infection, also known as cystitis, can be a real pain (literally!). This infection occurs when bacteria invade the bladder, causing inflammation and irritation. Thankfully, there are usually some very clear signs that something's wrong down there.

The most common symptom of a bladder infection is frequent urination, even when you don't have much urine to pass. This can be accompanied by a constant urge to go, making it feel like you can't empty your bladder completely. Another hallmark symptom is a burning sensation during urination. This burning pain can make using the bathroom quite uncomfortable.
