What Is Included in a Weight Management Program?

A weight management program is a holistic program looking at several factors of a person's health and life to build out a sustainable program for safe and healthy weight loss or gain. The program will approach weight management by educating the participant on healthy eating and exercise patterns, ideally creating lifelong habits. As opposed to the strict eating characteristics of dieting, a weight loss program aims to teach the participant what to eat, and when, as well as correct portion sizes. Each weight management program is tailor made based on a person's age, overall health, lifestyle, weight goals and other factors that can affect a person's success or failure with other weight loss tactics.
