All permanent lip color patients are medically numbed prior to the procedure, so you should feel little to no pain or discomfort. There is also essentially no downtime after the procedure, so the recovery is not complex or painful. You may feel some pinch or sting during the initial numbing process, but it dissipates quickly. The procedure takes about 1.5 hours for a blended lip liner look, whereas a full lip color will take closer to 2 hours or more.
