In addition to these basic assessments, the doctor will check for specific conditions that might affect your ability to drive. This can include screenings for diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and sleep apnea, depending on your age, health history, and risk factors. If any medical issues are detected, the doctor may request further evaluations or treatments before passing you for a CDL. If you pass the physical, you will receive a medical certificate valid for up to two years, allowing you to continue working as a commercial driver.
