A bladder infection, also known as cystitis, can be a real pain (literally!). This infection occurs when bacteria invade the bladder, causing inflammation & irritation. Thankfully, there are usually some very clear signs that something's wrong down there.
The most common symptom of a bladder infection is frequent urination, even when you don't have much urine to pass. This can be accompanied by a constant urge to go, making it feel like you can't empty your bladder completely. Another hallmark symptom is a burning sensation during urination. This burning pain can make using the bathroom quite uncomfortable.
