Headaches and Migraines present with distinct symptoms, though they may over-lap in some cases. A typical tension headache often causes a Dull, Aching sensation on both sides of the Head, with pressure around the forehead or temples. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to light or sound, but the Pain is generally mild to moderate and does not worsen with routine activities. Sinus headaches, on the other hand, are often accompanied by nasal congestion, facial pressure, and tenderness around the eyes, forehead, and cheeks. Cluster head-aches, a less common but severe form, produce intense pain around one eye and can be associated with redness, tearing, or nasal congestion.
Migraines, however, are more Complex and can involve Neurological symptoms beyond Head pain. They often begin with a throbbing or pulsating pain on one side of the head and can last anywhere from four hours to several days. Many individuals experience additional symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and extreme sensitivity to light, sound, or even smells. Some migraines are preceded by an aura, which can include visual disturbances like flashing lights, blind spots, or zigzag patterns, as well as numbness, tingling, or difficulty speaking. These symptoms can be disabling, significantly impacting daily activities and requiring proper management strategies to reduce their frequency and severity.
