I’ve been going to M.E.D. for many years. I have never had a bad experience. The front staff, nurses and providers are wonderful. Sure they have longer wait times since the Covid pandemic. EVERY urgent clinic is booked. One urgent care told me to register then come back with my 3 children at 7pm only to sit in the (small) waiting room with at least 5 hours worth of patients who are ALL being tested for Covid. If we didn’t have it going in at 7pm, we certainly would have had it after being exposed to so many people who all have Covid symptoms. On what planet does that even make sense?!
At Minor Emergency of Denton, the first day I went in about 3 hours before closing and was told they were booked for the day. Not their fault!! They can only take so many patients. They told me to come back as early as possible the next morning. I returned around 10am, registered and went home to relax. 2 hours later they called me and we returned, waited 20-30 minutes and were called to be seen. The waiting room was not full at all and everyone was social distanced. While we were being seen, the staff was very caring and kind. We felt like we were their priority for sure. The Dr took plenty of time with us, explained everything and never made me feel silly for questions we had. I know they must get worn down and frustrated with the increase in patients they see due to Covid, but I never would have known it. Great job!
