Kindness is not a weakness. This is the text I got after 5 patient portal request to speak to her doctor. We did go to the ER. We had discharge orders saying she needed a referral to see a foot specialist. But they wanted me to continue making my daughter walk and go to their clinic possibly causing further injury to her ankle so she could be given a referral. It is more important for them to increase billing than patient care. A telemedicine call would have resolved this. I offered to send the discharge report yet no further answer it’s all about billing. I suggest all parents using this practice to Have a back up primary care doctor and keep your specialist separate. Even if they can manage multiple issues, in an emergency they will not help with referrals unless they can bill (regardless of how sick or in pain your child is at that moment). I’m not mad at them but I don’t trust this practice. They need to be surveyed by the state. The main Dr. Barriga seems to only be the name of the practice but is definitely not involved or concerned with our children’s care. My daughter and I both loved everyone we met during her doctor’s visit today!
