I saw a Dr Andrew Blank at Digestive Disease Care at the Setauket location. I had not previously seen him, I was a new patient. I was really impressed with his care. He has a very kind and approachable demeanor. He is thorough and provides education and ability to ask questions about your issue He is easy to talk to and informative. I feel he has a very caring spirit. I would definitely see him again and I have already told my family about the practice and that they could go there because one of the things that drew me to the practice was that I could get same day care. I had a terrible problem with my stomach and I was able to get an appointment that day. I highly recommend this practice.

Excellent care from start to finish. Everyone in the office was professional, courteous, and attentive. A special thank you to Brianna, the medical assistant, who completed my preliminary evaluation and blood draw with exceptional skill, professionalism. Dr. Hussain spent considerable time thoroughly explaining my medical condition, treatment options, and prognosis, ensuring that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I felt heard, informed, and genuinely cared for during every step of my visit. The entire team was excellent , clean facilities and actual on time appointment- no lingering in the waiting room .

I was able to get an appt for consult in less then a wk. As soon as i entered the bldg i got a good feeling. The waiting area very clean , the receptionist at the front desk very helpful. I then was called back by the medical asst who began to start my health history and med in the computer so the dr was prepared when he came in to see me. The medical asst was extremely nice and listened to my story. Dr Osteckey then entered, he introduced himself with a friendly demeanor and at this point i realized i had made a good choice. He had read my history and was prepared to answer my ?’s. I have an endoscopy and colonoscopy scheduled in 2 wks and he will be there to perform the procedure. Excellent Experience!!!!!

An endoscopy & a colonoscopy are not something anyone looks forward to. However, having them performed by Dr. Oustecky & his team at Digestive Disease Care made the entire procedure along with the preparation & aftercare the most pleasant I have ever had & I have had my share because I am 77 years old. I am so impressed with the care and consideration from everyone I had any interaction with. I so highly recommend Dr Oustecky!!!

I showed up for the procedure early and within minutes the staff called me over for some questions and then brought me into another room to get me ready for the procedure. Dr. Preeti Mehta came over to say hello and make sure I was comfortable. Everybody was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely recommend DDC in Setauket.

Needed expertise on my condition and the only place I felt comfortable enough to address my situation was with Dr Oustecky. I’ve gone to see him numerous times in the past and each time the reason I was there was for something different, he CARES and that is so rare these days when it come to your own personal health!! Plus on top of that, to me, he’s the best in his field. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

It was wonderful reconnecting with Dr. Hossain in Setauket after last seeing her in Nesconset. She remembered me and I trust as in the past, she will help me with my Gastro issues. Dr. Hossain is thorough, caring, professional and friendly. And today I needed blood drawn, which is a challenge and Logan took his time and got the draw on his first attempt. Logan was very careful, concerned about my well-being and friendly. I definitely recommend this practice.

Over 10 years ago, I donated a kidney. After returning to New York I developed complications from the surgery and was diagnosed with all the “itises.” I first met Dr Oustecky in the ER. During a follow up examination in his office, he took my hand and led me to a cardiologist. Shortly after, I underwent a triple bypass. Since that day, I became one of Dr Oustecky’s many loyal followers. He is a highly skilled and compassionate gastroenterologist who puts patients at ease and listens to what they say. His humor and great choice of music makes colonoscopies, sygmoidoscopies and endoscopies more tolerable. I trust my wellbeing to his clinical judgment.

This was an extraordinary experience! They took excellent care of me. I had 2 procedure's done there, a colonoscopy, & an endoscopy. They were very thorough & explained everything. The entire staff was top-notch, from the receptionist, to the techs, & the PA's were first-rate! I also had the privilege of working with Dr. Nilesh, Metha who has an exceptional beside manner, who also made my procedure painless, he was very warm & encouraging. I went to Dr. Blank for a second opinion after being told my condition was a "medical mystery" and essentially being dismissed once the first treatment plan failed. It was my first experience with GI specialist at Digestive Care Center. Dr Blank is my doctor, I like his honest answers to all my questions. He was clear with his explanation of the procedure, possible outcomes and further directions. Later I had endoscopy done in a few weeks. I was a bit nervous about the procedure for which I had to be sedated. Lisa, their receptionist, answered my questions about the disinfection protocol for their tools that’s been used during procedure. That puts me at ease. Dr Blank has excellent bedside manners, was attentive to me before procedure and came to see me when I woke up. All went well. Would recommend him to my friends and family.

There was not only very little waiting time, but everyone I encountered, including the trainee. There were absolutely wonderful, very kind and supportive. I was in town to visit my elderly dad who was having some gastrointestinal issues. I was only in town for 48 hours and I called on a Thursday and the office got us in on Friday. The front office staff were friendly, efficient and professional. Dr. Oustecky and his PA (sorry I can’t recall her name)were wonderful! They were both kind and patient with my very nervous father. Thank you for your kindness, professionalism and your medical expertise and recommendations! I would highly recommend this office!

I visited as a new patient yesterday and saw Dr. Hossain, and I have to say, she’s fantastic. She genuinely listened to my concerns, which meant a lot to me. I’m quite nervous, especially about being sedated, but she really helped calm my nerves. I’ve scheduled my colonoscopy appointment now. I’m still a bit scared, but I feel confident because I know I’m in good hands. I also looked into her background, and learning about her degrees made me feel even more reassured.

Dr. Hossain and her PA Alexis are two of the absolute best. I’m very hesitant about going to the doctor because I feel like they don’t listen to you fully, pull one issue to focus on and offer you a bunch a medicine. I was having crazy stomach issues and they both took the time to listen to me, set up testing, and call me back within the hour anytime I called the office to leave them a note. Dr. Hossain found issues with my stomach lining and gallstones that a previous doctor never informed about ( they use the same portable sonogram service, and my prior sonogram was on file). She gave me the proper medicine for my stomach lining and I got my gallbladder removed. Im no longer afraid to eat, I used to fear food and have a few safe foods I could only eat because otherwise I’d wake up constantly in the middle of the night with acid reflux, bloating, gas pain, and sometimes vomiting. Everyone at digestive disease care is very nice and knowledgeable but I’m so grateful to Dr. Hossain and Alexis!!

Once in the exam room an assistant did my vitals and a ton of questions which was good, she was extremely knowledgeable and proficient, I don’t recall her name. Dr Oustecky was my gastrointestinal Dr. He was amazing, he was confident in about 2 minutes what my problem was, very compassionate with great bedside yet right to the point. He read my CT scan and examined me and recommended I see a surgeon for this procedure. I call the # he gave me and had a consult scheduled in 6 days with a group that works out of StCatherine hospital, very pleased with Long Island Digestive Disease care, Dr Oustecky and his support staff! The office very clean and you have minimal wait time. The exam rooms are pristine and the staff is thorough in their ibatkr and assessment process. By far the best part is Dr. Oustecky, he is so caring funny and very compassionate. I attribute my ability overcome my anxiety about my colonoscopy and endoscopy to his bedside manner. My appointment although the first appointment of the day was on time. I felt the nurse and PA asked very good questions and they had excellent notes from my last visit. I also needed an adjustment on my medicine prescription and the office which has always been very pleasant was nice enough to call me back to let me know that the prescription was changed. All staff were kind and prompt. Doctor spent time with me discussing possible reasons for my discomfort and things I can try to alleviate symptoms.
