My wife and I had an exceptional experience at Digestive Disease Care in East Setauket, NY. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and highly professional. Wait time was minimal. The clinic is very clean, modern, and well-equipped, creating an atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. Our doctor, Dr. Syeda Hossain, was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to listen to our concerns, and answer all questions. Her expertise and compassion were evident throughout the visit. I felt confident and comfortable with her performing the colonoscopy. The support staff was equally impressive, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from check-in to check-out. Feeling hopeful. My first visit with DDC and I feel like I've received more progress than I have with prior doctors in years. I saw Dr. Ahmad and he really listened to my concerns and symptoms analyzing possible reasons for my chronic ailment. He had a game plan to help treat my chronic gastritis. For the first time in 3 years, I am hopeful .

I didn't see the Dr., but her assistant was amazing. So personable, caring, and genuinely wanted to get to the bottom of what was going on medically with me. I felt heard and listened to - really the best experience I've had going to a doctor's office in a long time. I don't usually leave reviews unless it is exceptional service. Even though they were running late - it was well worth it.

I meet Dr Syeda Hossain about 3yrs ago at an another facility. I was so pleased with how she explained my medical condition and the best steps she would take to make sure to rule out if theres a problem, and take care of it. When she left that facility I intentionally sort her out and found her so that I can be in here care again, for another medical need that I had. She a natural! She’s very calm and make you feel that she’ll do all she can to help. I recommended my Mom to see her and she was also pleased. I highly recommended my Dr Syeda Hossain.

Although I was early for my appointment, I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival. The physician’s assistant took my information and Dr. Oustecky came in shortly afterward. I did not feel rushed, the doctor answered all my questions to my satisfaction and he gave recommendations to take along with the reasons for these actions. I felt comfortable and confident with the office staff and Dr. Oustecky.

I am overall very healthy, so when I began experiencing sudden abdominal pain I was scared and nervous of all the what-if’s. After an ER visit I was told to follow up with GI, and after a few google searches I found Dr Andrew Blank. The office itself is VERY clean and accommodating, I got in to see the Dr as a new patient later that morning and we put a plan in place. Unfortunately I did end up in the ER again, but the office got me in the next day and then the following day had me scheduled for an upper endoscopy to hone in on what might be going on. This office is very efficient but also not pushy to get you into unnecessary testing. I’m going to have my grandma come here instead of her GI dr she has been seeing because I feel confident with the care here and appreciate Dr Blanks bedside manner. Definitely recommend for anyone experiencing acute or chronic GI issues!

I suffered all my life with digestive and bowel movement issues and was told drink more water each more roughage. Final found Dr. Hossain she listened and cared to figure out why I suffered. Well 3 years later and I cannot be happier. She is kind and doesn’t rush you through your appointment. I started seeing her in the Jericho office and yes she’s that great that I travel to the East Setauket office to see her. As long as she’s in the tri-state area she I’ll be my Gastro doctor.

My husband was recommended by his oncologist. I made the call on Friday, and Dr. Outsecky saw him Monday. Unheard of nowadays! He was easy to talk to, really listened to both my husband and me. He was patient, has good sense of humor (usually a sense of humor is not important to most, but when you have a spouse who is battling cancer, a recent stroke, and now the colon lit up on a PET/CT scan, I need his doctors to take it seriously, yet not be all gloom and doom!) He was reassuring and came up with a game plan to help my husband... even in his weakened condition! I was so impressed, before leaving the office, I made an appointment for myself.... as I have been waiting 7 months now for Stony Brook gastroenterologists to get their act together to take care of a serious gastro issue I have. Thank you Dr. Oitsecky!

I have had extremely awful and abusive situations with doctors my whole life and this place has been nothing but wonderful to me I am neurodivergent and have PTSD and they accommodated every single one of my needs they were caring calming and gave me excellent care I would give them 10 Stars if I could it makes me cry in a good way to know that people care and treated me like a human being. They met my needs and were so kind to me. I had an endoscopy they went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. They truly know what they're doing and do a good job I can't say enough good things about the staff and Dr Andrew Blank.???

I have to tell you that the doctor I saw was so amazing and so down to earth and explained everything to me. I have been crying for weeks with the diagnosis I received without being explained to me, and the doctor explained everything she sat with me. The whole experience from start to finish was great. I saw Dr Nilesh Mehta and he made me feel at ease and explained everything clearly, from the initial consult to the follow up. The office was great, the whole staff was friendly and helpful. The prep wasn't fun, but not nearly as bad as I expected. The procedure was the easy part. They were on schedule and professional. Andrew Blank is one of the best gastroenterologists I’ve met. He’s thorough, kind and intelligent. Unlike other doctors, took me seriously and not only ran numerous diagnostics- but has been on top of scheduling me every couple weeks for rechecks. The professionalism and care for the speciality is there. My only fair warning is that the waiting room can get crowded at times. Though that’s small fish comparatively.

I’m overwhelmed. DDC is simply amazing. Called up for an emergent appointment for my husband, got a same day appointment in the Setauket office. All the staff was so friendly and accommodating and you can tell that they’re really caring and compassionate. I think it’s amazing that they offer same day or very quick appointments for emergencies. Much better option than waiting months for all other gastro practices.

My wife went in for an endoscopy on 3/18/24. The office was immaculate, the staff was a joy to work with and the waiting time was very minimal. She was taken in almost immediately & the procedure was completed thoroughly. The follow up with both the nurse and the doctor was greatly appreciated. All results were explained in layman's terms to our complete satisfaction. We would highly recommend DDC of East Setauket to anyone without reservation

It did not take me long at all to receive an appointment within the office and this had nothing to do with him not being busy. The girls in the front were happy and very friendly. Dr. Blank was amazing, wonderful bedside manner as well as professional, kind and caring. He really wanted to understand what was going on with me and help diagnose this. The practice and the doctors are fine, but their billing office is a huge problem. First, they disclaimed that they are our insurance's in-network provider; later, we got astronomical bills from them due to their sudden "out of network" status; it somehow ended up on the patient to deal with their billing and our insurance to get everything paid appropriately. Due to these hassles, we won't return.

Dr. Preeti Mehta and her staff of PAs and other support never gave up on me. My condition was unusual and after multiple tests that identified no physical issue or disease I waa ready to throw in the towel, but Dr. Mehta didn't even consider that. She told me she would treat me and found the medication that is working for me. I finally feel like myself again, after almost a year of dealing with a daily, life disrupting, irritating condition. Dr. Mehta is kind, patient and listens. She is intelligent amd has that "CAN DO, WILL DO" attitude. I very, very, highly recommend this practice and especially Dr. Mehta. Special call outs to Andrea and Gabby as well!! Thanks for putting a smile back on my face and taking a load off my mind, Dr. Mehta. You are wonderful!

My appointment although the first appointment of the day was on time. I felt the nurse and PA asked very good questions and they had excellent notes from my last visit. I also needed an adjustment on my medicine prescription and the office which has always been very pleasant was nice enough to call me back to let me know that the prescription was changed. I felt Andrea, my PA , was very good at listening to the issues and had several very good solutions on the approach. All in all I highly recommend DDC with having a very good experience with everyone.

I was suffering from acid reflux/gerd for quite some time and call it destiny or a stroke of luck - I was recommended to consult Dr Nilesh Mehta and I did so. It was one of the best medical decisions I have ever made. Why so? Dr Nilesh Mehta not only oozed medical acumen and confidence but had a way of allaying my fears and worries. His sheer presence had a calming effect and I was able to complete all the recommended procedures with ease. I truly appreciated the professionalism, follow up and dedicated services of this wonderful organization - Digestive Disease Care. Goodness Gracious - two words - I can link to Dr. Nilesh Mehta.

My appointment was great, paperwork was easy to fill out, everyone was super nice, and I had an ultrasound done immediately after my consultation with the doctor so a separate appointment was not needed and it made the visit very efficient.

Today was my first time at Digestive Disease Care. Everyone that I encountered from the moment I walked in was very pleasant and makes me feel as comfortable as could be. Dr Blank was awesome, easy to talk to, concerned and caring. He made me feel very comfortable about scheduling my first colonoscopy. I would highly recommend this practice.

I decided to get a new GI doctor because the previous GI doctor that I consulted with disregarded my concern and simply said "take this and you'll be good" . When I greeted Dr P Mehta she immediately gave off a feeling of someone who cares about their patients. She answered all of my question and throughly planned out the steps that she's going to take to get to the bottom of whatever I have. I'm so thankful because I felt heard and validated. Some doctors need to take notes from her and her partners.

Digestive Disease Care is a well-run office, generally with short wait times. Dr. Blank is great... Attentive, listens to concerns without being distracted, and offers guidance on feeling your best with the least amount of prescriptions. Any medications were added after a thorough conversation about pros and cons. I hate to recommend him too much as I love being able to get an appointment with ease (he's new to this office), but he is an excellent doctor.

Staff was very friendly and professional and treated me as if I were their own family and explained to me everything thoroughly. Both Doctor Blank and his medical assistant and rest of staff were helpful and very kind.

Today I saw Dr P. Mehta on consultation and I cannot pay this entire staff, starting with the Doctor, enough compliments. They were very professional yet so compassionate. I was seen at my scheduled appointment time by the nurse who gathered all of the preliminary history and soon after she relayed the info to the doc. Dr. Mehta came in with such a wonderful demeanor, very welcoming and extremely empathetic and well informed of what I told the nurse. There was no need to repeat the information. She was so knowledgeable and even made me feel at ease that she would take care of my body in it’s entirety and not just focus on her specific specialty alone. She made special arrangements in my case for the following appointment. I would recommend this practice to any close friends and family! My only issue (which is not really an issue for others) is that as a healthcare worker, I like to know and see the names of those caring or attending to me. I didn’t see any name tags or identifiers of who each staff member was and their role in the office except for the supervisor (Loide). Other than my nitpicking on the names they were ALL excellent and my experience was top notch!
