For almost 3 years, I am a patient of Dr. Preeti Mehta. I’ve been to her different clinics and my experience has been excellent. She is a five star doctor to me because she really worries about her patient’s health. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff member. Checked in and within 10 minutes I was brought in for the tests I was there for by another very pleasant staff member. Tests were done and I was on my way in total time 25 minutes.

First visit and so pleased with this practice. The NP for Dr. Sandberg was so sweet, caring, patient and made me feel heard and seen , she was very thorough in assessment and gave me loads of information to try and manage my symptoms until ive have my procedure and being sure to tell me in no means is her advice trying to downplay any issues i may have but just to make me more comfortable until i get answers. I appreciated that more then she knows. I instantly felt like I was in the right hands. Already have a scheduled procedure with Dr. Sanberg to further look into my symptoms and I'm confident I'll get answers instead of being pushed around and told it's anxiety or diet. So happy I found this place.

Dr. Sandberg is a very patient listener and explains everything thoroughly. I've had digestive issues for decades and was told over a decade ago that i wouldn't be able to have a conventional colonoscopy ever again due to the extensive lesions of adhesions, by my previous GI dr. I also suffer from IBS. (TMI). LOL..WELL after a conversation with Dr. Sandberg he told me that they have new devices/tool/equipment or (i can't remember the exact words) in ttheir state-of -art location, but anyway that he can do the Colonoscopy because now there is a "device or tool" that will allow him to look inside my colon. He did the endoscopy & colonoscopy the same day and boy did he find multiple growths and a lot of digestive issues that i didn't know were lurking inside of my intestinal tract,colon, throat and stomach too. He possibly saved my life because 2 of the findings were a potential for cancer. Everything went well. And i don't have cancer which was something that was in the back of my mind. He's an excellent professional and I would not go to any other GI SPECIALIST. HE'S A KEEPER!????? Btw, his staff is friendly and the wait is never long. ??

Dr Sandberg is a fantastic physician. My selfishness, I wish he was an internist, rather than just specializing in Gastro. I would love to have him as my Primary Care Physician. I was extremely nervous and worried about a recent incidental finding on an mri and dr. Oustecky was phenomenal explaining the situation to me and calming my nerves. It was truly a breath of fresh air and not that I want to have to see a specialist, but if I have to, he’s the one to see. Very cool, very patient did not make me feel rushed or anything and for me, that’s huge! Would absolutely recommend to anyone who may need a digestive care specialist/gastro.

Dr. Shirley Johnson-Hall is an extraordinary GI specialist: talented, personable & extremely dedicated. I travel a far distance (almost 3 hours round trip) to see her & I wouldn't ever consider entrusting my GI parts to any other gastroenterologist. The spotless, state of the art facility with welcoming staff is a good start specially when in pain. Dr. Nilesh Mehta and his physicians at the New Hyde Park facility go above and beyond to explain in detail all the issues and the necessary treatment. The office is very nice & the staff are polite & accommodating. Dr. Christine Chen was gracious enough to have given me printout of “anti-reflux diet” & “constipation management”. to follow so I won’t be dependent too much on laxatives especially “senna” which caused my “melanosis coli”. Though my past gastroenterologist told me the “melanosis coli” finding in my 2018 colonoscopy, he did not advise me to stop senna. Instead, he told me my “melanosis coli” iis sort of protection to my colon. This is why I kept using senna.

My Experience at Digestive Disease Care was phenomenal. Dr. Chen is extremely pleasant, thorough & compassionate. She explained everything to the fullest, as well as addressing any concerns I had. The Medical Assistants during my 2 visits were Harp & Grace and they were both very pleasant & extemely competent. The Nurse Practitioner, Brittany was also a Breath of Fresh Air.
