I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kureshi for 3 years. He is extremely knowledgeable about every procedure he performs. He also cares deeply for his patients. If you are looking for a doctor that not only can help you change your appearance and also cares about his patients Dr. Kureshi is worth looking into.

I was aprehensive getting bariatric surgery at first because it is a drastic , drastic, decision to make and it cannot be reversed. I was 68 when I finally made the hard decision to move forward with the surgery. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I had been overweight for the majority of my life. I'm 5'9" and weighed 305 pounds, (see the picture below) I needed to make some hard decisions about my health - how much longer could I live continuing in the direction I was going? Every year I put on more and more weight. I've been on so many diets throughout my life I can't count them - I'd lose 40, 50 lbs then I would gain back 60 lbs or more. I was addicted to food and in poor health. My knees are bone on bone - I wore them out with my weight. I couldn't get up from the couch or chair without struggling (it was embarrasing) if I got on the floor I couldn't get up, I didn't feel good, I didn't look good, I was always tired, I got out of breath easy, I had high blood pressure, etc. etc. etc. I'm only 68 years old and I wanted to be around for my granchildren and great-grandchildren. I knew if I continued in the direction I was going it wasn't going to happen. I needed to make a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. The only way I could do it was to be FORCED to do it, getting Bariatic Surgery was the answer for ME - something I could not undo once it was done. I did a lot of reseach prior to having the survery. I met with two doctors - I went with Dr. Kureshi because he put my mind at ease right away and I felt really comfortable with him. Also, he was the only doctor that did Magnetic Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy. The surgery is done with magnets to hold the organs up while taking out a portion of the stomach - there are only 4 small 1" incisions that are made which results in faster recovery time and smaller scars. I was out of the hospital the 2nd day and by the end of the 1st week I was back to work. The results are AMAZING. This was one of the BEST DECISIONS I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE - I wish I wouldn't have procrastinated so long. I'll say this though, it isn't easy - and NOTHING WORTHWHILE IS - PERIOD. You have to learn / train yourself how to eat like a normal human being. It's a mindset and a commitment I made to myself that if I had the surgery I was going to make sure I followed everything that was supposed to be done to a "T". I had my surgery on September 30, 2024 and to date - April 26, 2025, six months I've lost 86 pounds!!!. It's been almost 40 years since I weighed 219. AND - I thought I would have a lot of loose sagging skin, and I don't. I think I look pretty good if I don't say so myself. I've got another 40 pounds to go - which will make at my High School weight when I was at my heatliest. My goal is to have lost 125 - 130 pounds total by September. That's almost a whole person! I feel so good right now it's hard to explain. I can get in a booth when I go out to eat, (with a lot of room to spare), I can tie my shoes without getting out of breath. I can buckle my seat belt on a plane with about 10" of the belt hanging over (I almost needed a seat belt extender!). I can get up from the couch and a chair without struggling and feeling embarrased. I can, I can, I can - too many "I can's" to count. The MAIN THING IS . . . . . I don't need high blood pressure medication or water pills any longer. I don't miss the food, the Diet Mountain Dew, the sweets, etc. - nothing tastes the same to me anylonger and FOR ME - I'M FINE WITH THAT!! Before - I LIVED TO EAT - NOW I EAT TO LIVE.

Dr. Kureshi is an amazing surgeon! He cares and wants what is best for his patients. He has done 2 different surgeries for me and I'm looking forward for the 3rd that will be done by him.

Dr. Kureshi made me feel completely comfortable and confident in his skills and abilities to complete a successful surgery from my first appointment with him. He is professional and charismatic easy to understand and he listens to your concerns. In October of 2023 I had the duodenal switch. I haven't had any side effects other than the ones intended since surgery. So far all together I have lost 225lb since my max weight, 204 since surgery and I'm still losing. I'm currently 236.6lbs. It has slowed down but it has happened rather quickly. It's been a little over a year. This journey has been nothing short of life-changing. I no longer have type 2 diabetes My A1C is 5.6 trending down I no longer have sleep apnea I no longer have high blood pressure and have been able to come off my blood pressure medications. My health just continues to improve I'm able to get up and go I have energy naturally I sleep better I can sing again I've learned I can cook before my back hurts so bad I couldn't even stand for 5 minutes I couldn't do the dishes It was hard to work. I no longer have back pain. I would recommend weight loss surgery to anyone who was struggling is bad as I was and as long as I was I have a different relationship with food now I eat to live instead of live to eat. I'm not going to lie You got to work on yourself on the way you think the way you look at things and you have to because you don't have food to run to anymore. But it is a good thing. Trust me. Overall I am so much happier and much more present and no longer cut off from the world.

First off All I want to Thank the Lord for Guiding me through this tough time on my journey on finding a Surgeon who I could trust with my life literally as well as finding a Doctor who could help me with my case since I needed a revision bariatric surgery it was a little bit more complicated I want to give a huge shout out to this amazing team Starting from Doctor Kureshi, Nurse Cindy to Mitty my coordinator Huge thanks to Mitty who helped me get this surgery happen. My surgery was painless and smoothly my recovery took me a while ❤️‍🩹 compare to my first bariatric procedure but still I had the best results with Doctor kureshi I got my revision done June 5 2024 and I am down 55 pounds and it’s been only about to be 3 month since the surgery. I couldn’t have done it without this amazing team of doctors and Nurses who worked so hard to make this possible! Trust me when I say Doctor Kureshi has been and angel sent from heaven since the beginning and also I want to thank the Anesthesiologist who put me to sleep because honestly when I woke up from surgery I was so afraid of my vital signs being off since at the time I suffered from hypertension when I woke up from surgery I didn’t feel no pain my blood pressure was regulated my heart rate was normal everything was perfect nothing compares this experience! I will definitely go back to This team in a heart beat ❤️ Thank you Cindy for always answering my questions and helping me out with my post op your definitely the best at what you do!.If your looking for guidance I hope my review helps you don’t think about it to hard bariatric surgeries are not bad don’t be scared because trust me when I say you gain a different life you become a new born person always listen 👂🏻 to your doctor and follow up with them and you will see of how many amazing things your body is capable of‼️TRUST THE PROCESS 💕

When I met Dr. Kureshi I was very sick and in pain. From the first meeting Dr. Kureshi was attentive, concerned and told me he could help me feel better with Gastric Bypass. Dr. Kureshi went into great detail (with visuals) about what he would doing during surgery, my recovery time and just made me feel like I was making the correct decision. I felt so comfortable that I scheduled surgery immediatly knowing that I found the right Doctor. Dr. Kureshi has an amazing office assistant/surgery scheduler, Cindy who has went above and beyond on many occasions to assist with insurance and medication prior authorizations. I love this office so much and they offer so many other things besides surgery. I am so happy with my life changing results and new life.

I had the gastric sleeve done approximately 10 years ago. My weight was just shy of 300 lbs. I was borderline diabetic, have a lot of other health issues so surgery was a no brainer. I had to do something or not live as long. I've tried diet after diet with little to no success, loss weight and then gain 2x more back. Now since surgery it's been a slow process but with great success. What you have to remember is you didn't gain weight overnight so your not going to lose it overnight. Your eating habits have to change, surgery alone is not going to fix it. When heavy I had the I don't care what I eat, or how much attitude. That thinking was habit, depression, gave up attitude. So a life style change not just with food but mind has to be reset. Dr. Kureshi and his staff were understanding, accommodating, and caring, which helps with part of the process. You have to be willing to do the work. Seriously it was very hard at the beginning, I wanted to continue my eating habits and expected the surgery to solve the rest. WRONG, not going to be successful. I've taken the knowledge of different diets I've tried and combined a few different ones together.ive lost weight, gained a little back, lost more and so on. It is like a roller coaster but eventually it keeps going down. I've hit plateaus, gotten depressed, then start losing again. It's been a struggle, but a successful one, you just have to want it bad enough and understand the commitment to understanding, and willingness to change to succeed. So I'm now at 132 pounds, think about it, I've lost over 160lbs, that's putting another me on top of me. I lost a whole person, wearing clothes I thought I'd never fit into, colors I'd never chance wearing, shirts tucked into my pants. My self esteem is so much higher, I enjoy looking in the mirror. There's still health issues but more manageable, diabetes is no longer a threat. When I tell people what I used to weigh, I'd get the no way I can't see it, reply. I give hope to those who struggle as I did. In end don't give up, be willing to commit, to change eating, habits, lifestyle thinking, and dream about the end result.

I seen some negative reviews on here, and so I wanted to share my experience… I have been seeing Dr. Kureshi off and on for 10 years now and I have had the best experience each and every time. I am having a sleeve revision surgery today because of weight regain (which has been from my own doing from not following the diet instructions over the past years few years) and I consider myself very blessed to have him as my surgeon. His nurse/insurance specialist Cindy has gone more above and beyond than most people would have to ensure that my surgery happened. Just 24 hours prior to surgery the facility that I was going to canceled the surgery due to insurance reasons and not only Cindy, but Dr. Kureshi himself called me personally to ensure they were doing everything they could to ensure surgery would happen as planned. Right before closing yesterday they called and said that everything was good to go again. Dr. Kureshi has always been so kind and made me feel like I was family when talking to and caring for me. I would not be a returning patient if him or his staff had ever made me feel anything less than their number one priority. I recommend him whether it’s bariatric or general surgery. You will be treated like family each time.

Dr. Kureshi is the only surgeon I would recommend. His training was from the finest schools in the U.S. Dr. Kureshi understands weight issues and listens carefully to your questions and concerns. I trust him. Cindy, who runs the office, is friendly, professional and helpful - a rare commodity in many medical offices today. Enjoy your appointment. You’re at the right place. Barbara Gallagher

i had the gastric sleeve with an EGD and a hiatal hernia repair on 12/15/22. Needless to say i was very scared of all the horror stories everyone has told me. Surgery usually doesnt bother me, but with this being a life changing one, i was somewhat terrified that i would regret this decision. But from the moment i talked to Kristina Barrett, and Arezu i was so incredibly pleased. They truly care and did everything they possibly could, not only on the physical aspect, but on the financial part as well. They made me feel as though i wasnt just another case. i am a type 1 control freak lol, and it was nice to know i didnt have to panic or freak out at every step. They had me covered. Not to mention they were both extremely professional, courteous, and kind. I cant say enough about these two ladies. They stepped up above and beyond their job duties. And Lindsey the dietician- She was always there to answer all of my "what about this can i have this" questions , and while im sure i bugged her wayy too much, she never hesitated to answer me. She made me understand all of my options. Then, there was Cindy and Sarah, These two ladies made post op go much smoother, and i appreciate that Cindy was always there to answer my phone calls and Sarah took care of all my FMLA paperwork quickly and promptly returned it to me, She also answered all my post op questions. She has been a God send. SO thankful for her. And last but not least- Dr. Kureshi- what can i say about this doctor. He is simply put the best doctor ive ever had. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable in his field, but he was compassionate, and had an amazing bedside manner at the hospital. Every visit that ive had with him, he has made sure i was completely comfortable and sure of where i was at with each step-pre op and post op. i cannot give this man enough praise. Thank you Dr. Kureshi to you and your amazing team. You have given me a second chance at this life , and i intend to fully embrace it!

One the most nicest doctors I’ve ever spoken with he actually takes the time to see how you are and doesn’t cut you short on speaking. Most doctors just want that next dollar and get you out their hair… Dr.Kureshi really did great on my gastric sleeve. And I had bare minimum pain at all during recovery. I Highly recommend him to anyone like ok’ing to have the Gastric Sleeve done.

Dr. Kureshi and his staff are awesome, very kind, caring, thorough, and attentive. The staff always has a smile on their face and is willing to help with any need or scheduling request. Before surgery explanations and answers to questions are clearly delivered, during surgery care and performance are exceptional, and after care with Dr. Kureshi affords each patient an ample amount of time and attention to the patients specific needs. Wonderful doctor, staff, and office/location.
