I recently saw Dr. Hixon for the first time for a preventive skin check. He was very kind and super easy to talk to. Our pediatrician referred us to Dr. Hixon for my child's skin issue. At the beginning of the appointment, he quickly noticed my child's discomfort (at the thought of sitting in a large examining chair) and said there was a "missing" chair and had a second chair brought into the room. He even managed to notice that I (not even the patient here, folks!) had an infection starting around my fingernail and treated that too. The medical assistant and the front office staff were friendly. They made sure we had the correct pharmacy address and an excuse note for school. It was a great experience!

Dr. Hixon was so professional. I went in for a spot on my shoulder that ended up being skin cancer. He personally called me with the results and got me in the next week to remove an area around the original biopsy location. The team made me feel comfortable and it was a breeze. I was a patient at one of the bigger name hospitals for my yearly exams and anything else that needed attention. I never saw the same person and it was such a pain even getting an appointment. I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Hixon and the entire team at Dermatology & Skin Center in Celina. First, the front desk took an extra step of scheduling a joint appointment for my husband while we were there, which was soooo convenient! Dr. Hixon is truly top-notch, and so is the medical assistant. His bedside manner is fantastic—he’s not only professional, but also genuinely caring and compassionate. He took his time to thoroughly explain everything in detail, making sure all my questions were answered and that I felt fully informed. I had struggled with a very painful wart on one of my fingers for YEARS. I had gone to other dermatologists and experienced cryotherapy 7+ times but it never made any difference. When I first visited Dr. Hixon, he said “Let’s stop hurting you,” and made me feel HEARD for the first time. We tried multiple treatments over the course of a few months until one day, boom, the wart was gone. Dr. Hixon is kind and eager to really help people. He used his understanding of dermatology to problem-solve and find real solutions. I recommend him to all of my family and friends in the area. PLUS all of the young women that work at this location are so friendly.

This was my first visit after moving here 3 years ago. There is nothing comfortable about a new Dr visit for a full body skin check. The staff and Dr Hixon were very friendly, and the personal introductions put me at ease. I am pleased that areas of concern were taken care of at this visit without having to return for another appointment. I was given that choice . BONUS I am already booked for my one year checkup in 2023.

The single greatest doctors office visit I’ve ever had in my life. I was treated fantastically by everyone from the moment I walked in. I was in and out in under twenty minutes, and that’s even with having to fill out new patient forms. The Dr. was kind, professional and efficient. Everyone from the front office to the doctor was friendly and welcoming. I felt heard, was given options, and felt welcomed. Other offices made me feel like a number and were cold and impersonal. This was completely the opposite experience and so glad we made the move to see Dr. Hixon.

The Doctor and his staff are very nice and friendly. The music is good. The doctor froze my warts in just a couple minetts. It barely hurt. It's much faster and less pain than my previous experiences with other doctors removing warts and it only took a couple minetts. I drove an hour and a half to get to this office. It was definately worth the drive. Thank you so much.

Dr. Hixon was great. I was frustrated from another provider's lack of treatment plan and Dr. Hixon listened and established a treatment plan that we both hope is successful. He understood my complaints and fully educated me on my problem. Although the office was very busy, I did not feel rushed with the doctor. The staff all seemed happy in their work environment and it made the visit easy.

It is SO rare to go to any doctor's office and experience friendly office staff. Not only is Dr. Hixon personable, knowledgeable, and caring, but the rest of the staff is just as amazing. The receptionist is always friendly, the nurse is caring and listens so intently and I almost never have to wait to be taken back to a room or to see Dr. Hixon. I have severe eczema flare ups every so often and Dr. Hixon always has the best plan to help me.

Hands down, best dermatologist I've been to. Just referred 2 other people. Dr. Hixon really listened to my concerns and was very thorough when explaining everything. Their staff is great also, very polite, friendly and made everything really easy. I've been struggling with acne for over 5 years. I've been to several dermatologists who say they same thing and don't really listen so my experience with finding an effective treatment for my acne has been frustrating. I haven't started my treatment plan yet but I finally feel like I have a good plan in place that'll actually work this time so I'm super excited to get started after I pick up my prescriptions this afternoon! Definitely recommend. For anyone wondering, he also does virtual appointments. His office is kind of far from where I live so I set up a virtual appointment and it was so easy and convenient and I got in super quick. I booked my appointment through Zocdoc.com which made set up really easy. You can also do all the paperwork required through this website/app as soon as your appointment is set up and it sends it directly to them so you don't have to do anything the day of your appointment. The office will call about an hour before and all you need to do is send a picture of your ID since any paperwork or forms required are already completed. Super convenient.

Love Dr. Chris! He is extremely positive and clear in describing what's wrong. He even drew it out on a tablet so I could understand. He has a great demeanor and I love the way he jokes around ro keep the mood upbeat in these office. His staff was excellent as well. Extremely friendly and helpful with EVERYTHING. Including insurance. His assistant was very professional without being stuck up and she addressed wound care afterward very clearly. Will DEFINITELY be back.

I have been seeing Dr. Hixon for 3 years now after a scare from a spot that turned out to be nothing, now I go annually for a recheck. This year I had my grandson and was going to need to cancel but they were able to accommodate us and the visit as always was very professional and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Dr Hixon listened to my teen’s skin concerns and recommended treatments and at her two week follow up, her skin has dramatically improved. This people care about you. It start from front desk. Dr. Chris Hixon and his assistant Amy is the best. This is the place i will recommend to others and use my self.

Friendly staff, in and out fast! I highly recommend this office. The Dr was very thorough, kind, and went above and beyond. They made switching from another office easy.

Dr Hixon and his staff are Spectacular! I'm 81 so I have been to a doctor or two, therefore I am speaking from experience. They are professional and really good folks!

My first appt with Dr. Hixon was a very pleasant experience. The office staff and his assistant were very professional, friendly and attentive. Dr. Hixon takes time to talk in detail about what he is going to do. He is very personable and conversational. Overall, the procedure and office visit was a very good experience. I highly recommend Dr. Hixon and will return to him for future medical needs.
