My son injured his elbow snowboarding. Our primary care doctor referred us to Dr. Soma. His office worked us in quickly. Dr. Soma was very knowledgeable. He personally called me to go over the MRI results and make recommendations. I was very impressed with the entire experience and with Dr. Soma!

Dr Soma has been an excellent Dr for myself and my family for years He has repaired my broken wrist, broken ankle, torn shoulder and bad knees And each time has made me better than before the injuries I highly recommend him and his staff

Came highly recommended from our chiro and very responsive to my daughters injury , reviewed her medical history and immediately provided actual care along with a follow up call and appt. Emily at front desk was Exceptional! We were out of pocket as our plan was not covered and will be switching to his network now... Wonderful “pain relieving” experience. Water and snacks provided in lobby helped relax and was a nice touch.

I was able to get in with these folks very quickly, as my clinic had a 1.5 month wait, and I was in great pain. I could barely walk. On the 1st visit, they gave me a steroid injection in the troubled knee, and it was like magic; instant relief! That may not seem like much to some people, but it was a game changer for me. The doctor and the PA there are good, solid folks and the staff is great!

Scott Smith is wonderful! He was professional, concise, and made my visit comfortable. I came in for a back issue that I’ve visited the doctor on and done physical therapy for, at least 3 times prior to my visit. He was able to pinpoint the source of my pain and explain how it contributed to other pained areas. Something no one else to date has been able to do for me. I’m a baby when it comes to needles but he even handled my fear so well that I braved it through getting a shot. Wow, that was a big deal for me. Thank you!

Doctor soma is an awesome physician, I'm a current patient and I had an emergency after office hours. He called me personally and meet me at his office to treat me. He opened it just for me! This was on a Friday night after 6:00pm. He was caring and professional, I apologized for calling him but just wanted to help. This is a real caring physician (not for money), very compassionate and professional. He could just have referred me to the hospital or urgent care and he really didn't have to help. Most physician don't open their office just for you or see you after hours. I more than recommended him. Don't bother with other physicians they only care about the money not patients. He is very proficient.

I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Soma! I finally feel like I have a plan to manage my arthritic knee pain under his care. As an active yoga, fitness & aqua instructor, healthy knee joints are imperative for my livelihood. Dr. Soma and his staff are true professionals, and he took time to understand my issue, and explain his plan. I especially appreciate that I have a follow-up appointment scheduled to ensure that we're monitoring results. I highly recommend this Orthopedic Specialist!

I highly recommend Dr. Soma as he did my hip replacement recently and I am walking so well now. He is a very skilled surgeon and shares his knowledge right from the beginning. Staff is friendly and competent and there is no waiting for appointments. Thank you Dr. Soma!!!

I needed a Hip Surgery Done in 2007 and chose Dr. Soma with following reason : Straight forward answers , and hands down, "on one of the best surgeon for Hip's on Maui" Hawaii. Why fly to Oahu , or to the Mainland when you have Doctor Soma performing ' ACE Surgery's on Maui ' Understand , it is much easier to going to his Surgery Center , Recover , and go Home , than . Fly to other islands or Mainland , Rent Hotels and eat unhealthy food , being away from family and helping friends , Maui is Easy for recovery. I have my hip for 11 Years and must say , I can perform all the actives well. Of course you will not be able to jump like a young child but ,,,,, i can do all the hikes and long walks with my Wife . Thank you DR Soma , you are da best ! FYI ,,,, I was not ask to write this by anyone.

Dr. Soma performed a very complex hip operation on my husband. It is due to his fine surgical skills that my husband is walking again. My husband and I cannot thank Dr. Soma enough.

Dr. Soma and his staff are so good at caregiving.. they got me through a hard and painful time and onto the path to recovery so quickly, I was dreading each day waiting medical attention.. my mind was thinking of the hours I'd endure before services rendered would give me relief..well today is the day after and I couldn't be happier.. you know when your healing or not... I am healing!! A huge thanks to Dr Soma and Margaret... Mahalo!!!

This Doc really knows how to take care of his patient! From start to finish,. dealing with Dr. Soma and his staff is a very pleasant and professional experience. His office staff are most accommodating. His Wailuku medical office facility is very comfortable and clean, both waiting and the exam rooms. You are always greeted by smiling staff. Dr. Soma very much listens to your medicals concerns and then offer alternatives to move forward to correct the problems. In my case it was a very bothersome meniscus tear. He scheduled the surgery promptly and performed it miraculously. I came out of surgery with little to no pain and am so happy I moved forward with the corrective surgical process. The follow-up appointments were professional, uplifting, and very positive. Access to both Dr. Soma and his staff was awesome. I would describe the total experience as being far superior than most medical experiences I have been involved with and in one word "amazing". My future mobility and enjoyment with my grandchildren, biking, and snowboarding is due to Dr. Soma's professionalism. To say the least I am a very very satisfied customer. I am glad I can share my experience to assist others to move forward with Dr. Soma. You cant go wrong!!

My work as a tile and stone setter for the past 25 years really took its toll on my knees. A few years back, I fell and smashed my right knee. After that it was never quite the same. Over the next few years, I continued to work and the pain just continued to get worse. I had made appointments with orthopedic Dr's here on Maui but always left the office more confused as to what my options were. I was referred to Dr. Soma by my doctor. I was greeted warmly by the front office staff and met with Margaret to discuss my issues. I admit I went in with a cynical attitude due to my previous meetings with other orthopedic professionals here on Maui. The other doctors made me feel like I wasn't important enough to take care of and shined me off with pain mess or the temporary shot in the knee. Margaret put me completely at ease,she was so professional but with a down-to-earth kinda vibe. She listened to everything I had to say, and assured me Dr. Soma could help me. Over the next few appointments Dr. Soma laid out my options and I chose the arthroscopic surgery. The staff set everything up,it was a piece of cake. Everything was explained to me clearly. The surgery went well and the doctor and everyone else were always positive and encouraging. It's been 3 months now and I can do everything with very little pain. I have two young boys and keeping up with them is much easier now. I even went for a run yesterday. Thank you thank Dr. Soma. Karissa in the front office can make your day just by saying good morning. You guys rock.Thank you again Dr. Soma. aloha,marc
